This article is the final installment on using DI-100 Series data acquisition starter kits in a .NET programming environment, concluding with the lowest-cost DI-145 model. This affordable, yet extremely capable instrument offers four analog input channels with a fixed ±10 V measurement range, 10-bit resolution, and two digital inputs. Like its bigger starter kit brothers, it features an internal scan list to allow complete control over what is, and what is not acquired during any given session. However, unlike other starter kit products it does not offer programmable scanning rates. Rates other than 240 Hz need to be derived by the host program, in a manner similar to WinDaq software provided with the DI-145. Nonetheless, the sample .Net program offered here taps all the DI-145’s features, and with its ample commenting provides an excellent foundation on which to build your own applications.
